came home and checked if there's any mail for me.
then i came across a singtel envelope addressed to -

LEE SZE HIN

it has been a long time since i last seen his name.
just a couple of days ago, i thought i heard his voice.
i thought i heard the usual grunt that he makes,
wanted to rush to his room to check on him
until a distant voice in my head reminded me
that he's no longer present in my house.

after noticing that mail, a smile crept upon my face.
i turned to his room or what remains of his room.
the door was shut as my brother sleeps soundly.
i wanted to cry. i really want to cry as memories unfold.
i was speaking about you today, about how you used to be.
i miss you. i miss you, grandpa..

how are things now with you and grandma?

besides my grandpa, i was distracted the entire day by thoughts of you. when you told me something bad cropped up, i got really worried. the whole night i just kept blaming myself for not being able to help you and going out to seemingly enjoy. i felt so guilty. i really hope and i sincerely pray that whatever that "bad" thing is, it would go away soon.

i hate to see you upset.
